Miami Crowd’s Guide to South Beach Wine & Food Festival

The foodie event of the year in South Florida is the South Beach Wine & Food Festival. What once began on Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay campus, is now a full blown out series of events through South Florida. Now in its 16th year, the festival continues to raise money for FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. The festival holds 90 events. Here are our top picks:

$95 – Salty, Sweet & Savory Treats: A Late-Night Party presented by Thrillist
A late night party featuring Bar Lab. This party will satisfy your sweet tooth with savory bites from the Salty Donut and Sarsaparilla Club.

$350 – Fontainebleau Miami Beach presents Wine Spectator’s Best of the Best
A ballroom presentation with 60 of the nation’s top chefs showcasing gourmet samplings and pairing them with over 100 wines, rated 90 points or higher on Wine Spectator’s scale.

$250 – Heineken Light Burger Bash
This year’s Burger Bash hosted by Rachael Ray joins forces with Heineken Light to bring you carefully curated offerings from chefs across America while you sip on Heineken Light beer and wine selections.

$20 – Badia Spices’ Fun and Fit as a Family
Saturday and Sunday, head over to Jungle Island with the family to learn tips from chefs and Food Network personalities on how to live a healthy lifestyle.

$95 – Nutrish®’s Yappie Hour
Nutrish® will treat canines to snacks while pet owners sip on libations at The Standard Hotel.

$100 – BACARDÍ On The Beach with Beats by Rev Run & DJ Ruckus
A night filled with beats by Rev Run and DJ Ruckus with bites and cocktails from Bacardi.

$100 – 3-5pm on Ocean Drive at Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village
Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village featuring Mastercard Grand Tasting Tents & KitchenAid Culinary Demonstrations. This year, the tasting tents will incorporate The Grutman Experience which will include food from his favorite South Florida neighborhoods, high energy beats by INGROSSO and cocktails by N1CE Cocktails.

$125 – Blend by Chateau Ste. Michelle
A wine seminar presented by Bank of America where you will learn about the vineyards and blend three different grape varieties-Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, sourced from highly-acclaimed Chateau Ste. Michelle estate vineyards.
