Meet Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, a sushi concept at 336 21st Street inside the Plymouth Hotel in Miami Beach. The individuals behind the location are the Bromberg Brothers who own and operate Blue Ribbon Restaurants in other locations such as New York City, Los Angeles and London. The brothers’ have joined forces with partner and sushi master, Toshi Ueki. The collaboration will bring Miami locals and visitors’ sushi and sashimi options, in addition to, Blue Ribbon classics, signature cocktails and an expansive sake menu.
When scouting the menu, don’t miss Blue Ribbon’s signature Fried Chicken with wasabi honey or the Oxtail Fried Rice made with a bone marrow omelet, shiitake mushroom and daikon radish. Vegetarians don’t fret! There is a variety of options to choose from such as Grilled Avocado with wasabi ponzu and sesame or you can opt for the Vegetable Tempura with sancho salt and green tea salt, among other options.
On to the drinks! There is a selection of more than 30 sakes. There is one bound to catch your attention and taste buds!
Aside from the wines by the glass, beer, and soft drinks you can sip on house cocktails such as:
Ginza – Gin, Blanco Tequila, cucumber juice, fresh lime and honey simply syrup
Osaka Mule – Shochu, shiso, fresh lime, honey simple syrup and ginger beer
Yuzu Margarita – Blanco Tequila, yuzu and honey syrup
If you’re looking to share, order the Mai Tai for two, which is a blend of three rums, triple sec, Orgeat syrup and lime juice. Cheers!
