Infatuation Miami brought together local food enthusiasts for an unforgettable evening celebrating the city’s culinary evolution. The inaugural supper club, held at the stunning Giralda location of Dōjō Izakaya & Sake Bar in Coral Gables, showcased why Miami’s dining scene continues to captivate both locals and visitors alike.
Dōjō, an Izakaya & Sake Bar with a menu curated by the acclaimed team behind Michelin-rated, James Beard-nominated Zitz Sum, provided the perfect backdrop for the evening’s festivities. The restaurant’s sleek, intimate atmosphere set the stage for what would become a memorable celebration of Miami’s newest dining destinations.
Guests arrived to welcome cocktails that set a sophisticated tone for the night ahead. Sake-based creations like the Midsommar—a refreshing blend of limoncello, Cocchi Americano, and prosecco—greeted attendees as they mingled before dinner.
The evening’s centerpiece was a dramatic communal table stretching the entire length of the restaurant, creating an atmosphere of shared celebration. Ryan Pfeffer, Senior Editor for Infatuation Miami, kicked off the meal with a toast, thanking guests and explaining both the significance of the Best New Restaurants list and the exceptional venue hosting the evening.
The Dōjō team then orchestrated a six-course journey through their menu, each dish arriving family-style to encourage the convivial spirit of the evening:
The meal opened with delicate Kampachi dressed in creamy ponzu with celtuce and serrano, followed by inventive Short Rib Onigiri topped with huancaina, teriyaki, and pickles. The third course brought comfort food elevated—”Fried Chicken” Karaage served with yuzu kosho ranch that perfectly balanced heat and tang.

Mid-meal, Rock Shrimp arrived glistening in chili brown butter with fresh herbs, accompanied by shokupan and rice. The fifth course featured Grilled Branzino swimming in dashi butter alongside Okinawa spinach and rice, showcasing the kitchen’s mastery of Japanese technique with Miami’s abundant seafood.
The evening concluded on a sweet note with a Hojicha Sundae layered with white chocolate and miso, a perfect blend of familiar and unexpected flavors that embodied the innovative spirit of Miami’s dining scene.
As guests departed, they received curated goodie bags filled with thoughtful local treats: wine jelly and guava jam from Gables Delight, alongside balsamic vinaigrette from Marky’s—a parting gift that extended the evening’s culinary experience beyond the restaurant’s doors.
The supper club served as both a celebration of Miami’s dining diversity and an introduction to the unique flavors shaping the city’s food culture. To explore the complete list of Miami’s Best New Restaurants of 2025, visit The Infatuation’s guide.
