Flying hats, shirts off the stage and a headline set that spilled into the crowd: Saturday night in West Palm Beach belonged to the fans.
Dan + Shay brought The Young Tour to West Palm Beach’s iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre on Saturday, October 17, with Josh Ross and Tyler Hubbard warming up a crowd that was on its feet from the first song. Here’s how the night unfolded.
Set times: Josh Ross, 6:55–7:25 p.m. Tyler Hubbard, 7:40–8:20 p.m. Dan + Shay, 8:45–10:15 p.m.
Josh Ross opens strong
Josh Ross walked out to Rae Sremmurd’s “No Type” and set the tone fast. He told the crowd Saturday shows are his favorite, and he played like he meant it.
He read a fan’s sign from the stage, then grabbed another fan’s phone and filmed himself mid-song during “Drink Things Through.” He had the crowd on their feet.

Tyler Hubbard leaves it all out there
Tyler Hubbard had the whole amphitheater jumping with “Dancin’ in the Country.” He fired hats and T-shirts into the crowd, including one cap that read “Hubb Caps,” and kept the singalong going with “Meant to Be,” his Florida Georgia Line hit with Bebe Rexha.
He teased a return to South Florida for Tortuga. Then, to close it out, he pulled off the shirt he was wearing and threw that into the crowd too — giving new meaning to leaving it all out there.

Dan + Shay take it to the crowd
A 90-second countdown clock lit up the screen to open the headline set. As it hit zero, a cross-shaped LED screen began to descend from the ceiling, and Dan + Shay appeared on the stage beneath it.
They opened with “Speechless,” and the crowd sang it right back to them, every word in tune. Without a pause, they went straight into “Nothin’ Like You.”
One of the sweetest moments came during “Dogs in Our Twenties.” Fans had submitted photos of their dogs ahead of the show, and the pups filled the big screen as Dan + Shay sang.
For “Obsessed,” Dan + Shay left the stage and walked straight through the crowd. (I scored a little jumbotron time and some social video along the way.) They had fans shout their names into the mic, led a round of “Happy Birthday” and even got one fan to sing Justin Bieber’s “Baby” with them. Shay gave a shout-out to the camera operator who had walked backward the entire time.

After a big loop around the lower level, they headed back to the stage for “Alone Together” and “I Should Probably Go to Bed.”
Shay kept the mini speeches coming. He shouted out touring guitarist Kurt Ozan, who was born and raised in West Palm Beach. Dan returned the love, calling his best friend Shay “the greatest artist in country music.” Then Shay turned the crowd on Dan, leading a chant to get him to take his shirt off, and tried the same on Kurt.
Shay said they might never make it out of West Palm: they’d either have to move here or never be allowed back. The night was going that well. That rolled right into “That’s Not How This Works.”
After “How Not To,” Shay paused to catch his breath. He joked that he’d worn the wrong green pants and admitted he was sweating. Then he thanked fans for showing up and for changing their lives.
He compared weekday crowds to weekend ones and said West Palm Beach came with so much love.
Then the mood shifted. Shay spoke about a friend they lost over a year ago and used the moment to raise awareness around mental health, leading into “Say So.”
“19 You + Me” lifted the mood back up. After “Save Me the Trouble,” the lights went down for a short break, and the crowd kept shouting until they came back up for “Bigger Houses.” This time Dan + Shay sat on tall black stools for a much-needed rest.
“10,000 Hours” came next. Before the final song, Dan said they were 18 shows into the tour and challenged West Palm Beach to sing “Tequila” louder than any other city. When the first scream came up short, Shay wasn’t having it. He said it sounded like asking a friend to go to Chili’s, not like the best night of your life, and pushed the crowd to get louder.
Then it was time to make good on that challenge. For the “Tequila” closer, Dan + Shay had the crowd sing it a cappella first, then brought the music in to finish the night.
