MAGAMA Brings Elegance to Edgewater

June 28, 2017

The brother and sister duo behind the MAGAMA jewelry collection bring their designs to Miami. Carlos Mancin along with his sister Maria Gabriela “Gaby” Mancin named the brand after Gaby. Gaby whose homebase is New York City, is inspired through her travel adventures.

The collection’s pieces are named after streets she’s encountered in her travel destinations, such as the “Lex” necklaces. Short for Lexington which is derived from Lexington Avenue in New York City.

MAGAMA’s showroom conveys the inspiration behind the collection through the interior design and esthetics. Gaby tells the story of the collection’s industrial feel, architectural lines and bold statements through the pieces showcased in their location. Whether it’s a peg on the wall holding dog tag necklaces, to a square glass jewelry box encasing fine pearled hand rings.

MAGAMA pieces range from $185 to $650 and includes necklaces, rings, earrings, chokers and cufflinks. To shop online visit:

The showroom is located at 222 NE 25th Street, Suite 104, Miami, FL 33137.

Bacardi Bay’s Sound of Rum w/ Major Lazer

May 29, 2017

On May 26th, Bacardi launched a limited edition rum in collaboration with Major Lazer. Together they hosted a summer kick off event at Bacardi Bay. The event took place on Virginia Key Beach with four pop up restaurants serving up island inspired cocktails. Miami’s most influential crowd snapped pictures at branded backdrops with coconuts imported from Thailand.

Diplo danced alongside his stage dancers to caribbean beats, while Jillionaire snapped pictures with guests before they hit the stage. Major Lazer took the stage at around 9:45 p.m. with Walshy Fire kicking off the musical set and firing off giveaways toward the crowd. Chanel Iman sat atop a speaker bouncing away at the American electronic music.

Hundreds gathered in front of the stage until late catching the trio (Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire) play their favorite tracks. The tracks included Africa Now, Run Up, Despacito remix and more.
