Boots, Beats & Beach Vibes: Inside the Inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival

The inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival descended on the Gulf Shores in Alabama, bringing three days of music, activities, and entertainment to the beach. The festival featured a wide array of brand activations and amenities that kept attendees engaged throughout the weekend.

Festival Amenities & Brand Activations

Attendees enjoyed numerous brand experiences, including a unisex salon where men could get a quick tape-up and women had the opportunity to receive colorful braided hairstyles. Boot Barn hosted giveaways featuring sunglasses and totes, while also providing exclusive Beach Club access with private areas featuring umbrellas and comfortable lounge chairs.

The Midway area offered a diverse selection of food options and even featured basketball courts where festival-goers could pass time while waiting for main acts to take the stage. VIP guests enjoyed a two-story shaded area that kept them cool, with a dedicated catering tent providing refreshments throughout the event.

Throughout the beach grounds, attendees could capture “wish you were here” photo opportunities at various installations, including a jet ski photo op and an impressive tall cowboy boot installation presented by Boot Barn.

Day One Highlights

The first night kicked off with T-Pain bringing his iconic dance moves to the sand. Despite mentioning the extreme heat and occasionally sitting to encourage audience sing-alongs, his performance energized the crowd. Post Malone closed out the night at the Sand in My Boots stage, performing fan favorites like “I Had Some Help,” “Rockstar,” and “Sunflower.” During his set, Post Malone demonstrated his commitment to fan safety by pausing the show to allow medical professionals to assist an audience member who needed attention.

Day Two Performances

The second day featured performances by Three 6 Mafia, 2 Chainz, and Nate Smith. Smith created a memorable moment when he expressed his desire to connect more closely with fans, leaving the stage to join the crowd on the sand for a performance of “Bulletproof” while audience members sang along. Brooks & Dunn closed out the second night with their veteran showmanship.

Final Day Celebration

The third day showcased Bailey Zimmerman, who brought infectious energy to the crowd. After sharing that his mother was in attendance, he led the audience in a heartfelt “We love you, Mom!” chant. Zimmerman announced the completion of his new album and performed a new song from the upcoming release. His set also included crowd favorites like “Back Up Plan,” his collaboration with Luke Combs, “Religiously” from his 2023 album, and “Rock and a Hard Place.”

Morgan Wallen closed out the festival with his trademark entrance, walking out to “Broadway Girls” blaring through speakers as 40,000 fans cheered. He immediately launched into “Ain’t That Some” and told the crowd he’d be mixing songs from his newly released album with existing hits.

His performance included favorites like “One Thing at a Time” and “Love Somebody.” During his set, Wallen moved to a stage closer to the General Admission area to perform several songs, including the festival’s namesake “Sand in My Boots.” He expressed gratitude to festival partners for bringing Sand in My Boots Festival to life, and the weekend concluded with a spectacular fireworks display.
